COT: Clingy Kitty

Since Scoop passed on, Au has been a little bit lonesome. He's so used to having a friend along on his walks, and pushing him at breakfast, that being an only cat is a bit odd.

However, we are playing with him for hours every day so he's quite cheerful!

He's also sitting with us a lot more than usual. Here he is, sitting on Tom's feet and showing off his laser eyes.

I am so sorry to read that Scoop passed away ! I missed it because I was on holidays in Italy and had so bad internet connection. Of course your house seems empty now and Au feels lonely. I had this three years ago when my Max died after 19 years it took me two years to be able to talk about him. And Lisa who had been his baby has changed ever since. She lives with my other cats but still misses Max. Even cats feel the lost of a companion.
Au has real beautiful eyes !!

I am sorry for both you and Au...poor thing missing his friend. I bet mine wouldn't know what to do if they were alone all the time either, even if they did argue!

Aw, sorry to hear about the loss of Scoop. We adopted Indigo, whose original owner passed away, and we know she's grieved for him. Au is grieving for his companion but he's got you to comfort him. How do you say his name? Is it after the periodic table symbol for Gold?

Au is pronounced AUW! It's after the chemical sign for gold as he has gold stripes, and also because he has sharp little teeth!

Au is a retired gentleman cat, which is a pity as we don't qualify for Woman Cat Wednesday :-(
