COT Kitty In The Box

Au in his boxWe turned our back on this fan box the other day and Au took immediate possession.

He still has his big box on the landing upstairs too. It's beginning to look lacy at the edges but Au adores his hideaway cum cat cowboy fort so we just hoover up the bits of cardboard that come off and let him enjoy himself.

Happy COT!

COT Wrestle Mania

Au and Target are spending most of their time wrestling:

On the sofa....

cats wrestling

On the rug....

And when they're done, they flump on the sofa.

It's wonderful to be a cat!

COT: Guerilla Cat

Au is playing war games again. This is him taking cover under a newspaper. Tonight I shall read him the story of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe's The Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal, "creature is so mind-bogglingly stupid that it assumes that if you can't see it, then it can't see you."

If you like words, check out Logomania Ladies from Bountiful to Muck UNTIL two hundred years ago, “ladies” were female members of the British aristocracy, such as the wives of knights and daughters of earls. Today, the word is used as a polite way to refer to any woman...

Happy Cats On Tuesday!

The All Knowing Cat - Not

Cats are supposed to have this sixth sense but if you ask me it's a load of nonsense.

1. Target persists in trying to steal chocolate brownies. Yet this stuff is not good for cats in small doses and poisonous in large doses.

2. Au walked straight past a snoozing Doji dog yesterday and never even noticed him. Au wasn't being brave because when Doji snuffled in his sleep, Au jumped six feet in the air!

3. Both Au and Target are afraid of our mates Faiz and Sam who love cats.

4. Neither cat knows when the vet's car is coming up the road!

We were too late to raise funds for Camie's Kitties with a Knock Knock joke, but just to be silly....

Knock Knock!
Who's there?
Violet.
Violet who?
Violet the cat out of the bag?

Have a good week!

Mollycoddle Overkill?

Target was out for a walk last night. He was sniffing around our neighbour's car, trying to figure out where she'd been (the wet market so the smells were really interesting) The sun set rather abruptly and suddenly our kitten was out in the dark.

Of course this is the time everyone is out and about: strollers, kids with footballs, etc. But Au went out and brought Target back across the street safely.

We were all grateful to the big cat but I'm wondering if we aren't mollycoddling the kitten a bit too much. After all, we live in a quiet dead end street and Target was only 5 to 10 meters away from our garden.

Hmmmm.....

BTW Dog Talk is out in the print version of the Star tomorrow. If you have a good dog story, please feel free to share on this blog!
