Target Is A Fur Brain
Target is walking about like an old lady. Having his dislocated bones put back in place, every muscle and tendon in his paw and shoulder are sore. Also, as he must have used tremendous force to pull his paw out of whatever trap it was in, he also damaged the muscles on his haunches and back paws. Plus, he scraped all the skin off his undamaged front paw. In other words, our little fuzz is in total recovery mode.
Until that is, a very soft spoken friendly man rattled our gate to announce he was here (our doorbell doesn't work) thereby sending Target out of bed, out of the window, down to the wall, down to the ground and into the storm drain system.
We were so worried he'd hurt his paw again, we hustled our guests out of the house. (Sorry about that Joleen and Ang!) Target appeared 1 minute after their cars vanished down the road.
I love Target but sometimes he is such a fur brain that I want to strangle him! And how come he's so good and calm and brave in the vet and a scaredy cat maniac at home???
Here he is, resting his sore bones on two pillows placed on his rug by Tom, the other servant.
There is no Katz Tales or Dog Talk out this weekend but Sharon from Bibliobuli will guest blog about her cat Nisbo on Friday. It's a good story so see you then.
Plus, I've changed my Twitter address and am now tweeting only about cats at KatzTalesTweets. Follow me and let me know where you are so I can follow you?
And see Gattina or the sidebar for more Cats On Tuesday.
We are scaredy cats too. Marshmellow is more so than me. We dug hiding places in Mama's brand new box spring. It is a neat place to hide. Try to hide somewhere inside where you won't get hurt.
Poor Target! He would get along so well with Sassie. She hides when anyone comes to the door or when we have visitors. Sassie doesn't like kids for some reason. I'm glad he's receiving such great care.
Pls don't call him a furbrain! He is a cute little fuzzy. I love him. He looks so sad resting there. It's okay to be a bit skittish. My Daisy Girl used to be skittish too, but now she loves having guests. I don't know when it happened. It literally happened overnight -- in the evening she was hiding from our guest, in the morning, we found her sleeping in the same bed as our guest and letting herself be stroked and petted. I am so glad Target is recovering. I would like to bring both Au and Target some nice treats! Am still looking for your book. Haven't had the time to shop yet. Maybe next week!
Target, you need to give yourself and the humans a rest. What a scare - again! You're quite the stunt cat. Please, from now on rest, relax and snooze the day away, recovering from that surely horrible paw trapping experience. We're both sending healing nosekissies. Maybe Au could wash you, I did that when Chilli was sick and it helped a lot. Many purrs, please recover quickly. Siena
Target you have to be careful next time! You got me worried here, well it happened to me and Mom doesn't know what really happened. She took care of me very well. Hugs
